  (October 01, 2011 – Lake Shafer, IN)A cold, windy Saturday at Lake Shafer brought 10 anglers in attendance. The fall weather helped to bring six anglers to the scale with a limit. It also captured the win for Fuzzy Dunn.  Fuzzy Dunn was the winning angler of the day. He took first place with 5 Small Mouth Bass weighing in at 18.19 lbs. His kicker fish weighed 4.18 lbs which was not enough to win Big Bass of the Day. Big Bass of the Day went to John Cullum with his 4.21 lb Small Mouth Bass. Second place went to Brendan Fitzgerald. His 5 fish weighed in at 11.18 lbs.  John Cullum weighed in 5 fish at 10.79 lbs to take third place. Fourth place went to Dave Coffing. His 5 fish weighed in at 10.60 lbs. The TVA Classic will be held Saturday, October 15^th and 16^th. Lake Freeman will be the site on Saturday, the 15^th and Lake Shafer will be the site on Sunday, the 16^th.  No banquet will be held this year. Plaques will be awarded on Sunday, Oct. 16^th at the weigh-in.

 Dave Coffing wins AGAIN!                       

    (September 17, 2011 – Mississinewa Lake, IN)It was a BEAUTIFUL day on Mississinewa Lake for the 5 anglers in attendance. Finding a limit was tough for most of the anglers, but it gave Dave Coffing his fourth victory this season. Way to go, Dave!  Dave Coffing was the winning angler of the day. He took first place with his 5 fish weighing in at 10.53 lbs. His kicker fish weighed 2.74 lbs which was enough to win Big Bass of the Day. Second place went to Kevin Hysong. His 1 fish weighed in at 2.27 lbs.  Otis Baumgardt weighed in 1 fish at 1.95 lbs to take third place. Fourth place went to Fuzzy Dunn. His 1 fish weighed in at 1.91 lbs. Brendan Fitzgerald took fifth place with his 1 fish that weighed 1.87 lbs.

 Freeman, AGAIN!     

 (June 11, 2011 an – Lake Freeman, IN)The 11 anglers in attendance at Lake Freeman enjoyed a Saturday with the LEAST amount of rain this season!  A BIG THANK YOU to the anglers in attendance!

 Bill “Grandpa” Kelly took first place.  He caught 5 fish weighing in at 10.69 lbs. His kicker fish weighed in at 3.31 lbs. Congratulations, Bill!  In second was Dave Coffing weighing in 5 fish, with a 3.22 kicker and a total weight of 10.26 lbs.  Third place went to Brendan Fitzgerald. He weighed in 5 fish at 10.20 lbs. His kicker fish weighed in at 3.47 lbs, giving him the title of Big Bass…to SHARE with Fuzzy Dunn, who also weighed in a 3.47 lbs. kicker. Congratulations Brendan and Fuzzy! Fourth place went to Fred Coleman. He weighed in 5 fish for total of 9.77 lbs and a kicker fish of 2.81 lbs.

 Mississinewa Reservoir will be the site of the next TVA tournament Saturday, September 17^th.  Hope to see you there!

Dave Coffing wins AGAIN!       

     (May 21, 2011 – Lake Shafer, IN)

 Another rainy Saturday at Lake Shafer brought out 9 anglers in attendance. The rain may have been a burden for some of the anglers, but it gave Dave Coffing another victory this season.  Dave Coffing was the winning angler of the day. He took first place with his 5 fish weighing in at 10.55 lbs. His kicker fish weighed 3.12 lbs which was not enough to win Big Bass of the Day. Big Bass of the Day went to Scott Jones with his 3.18 lb Small Mouth Bass. Second place went to Tim Rodenbarger. His 5 fish weighed in at 9.91 lbs.  Brendon Fitzgerald weighed in 5 fish at 8.52 lbs to take third place. Fourth place went to John Cullum. His 5 fish weighed in at 7.59 lbs. 

Lake Freeman will be the site of the next TVA tournament that will be held Saturday, June 11th.  Hope to see you there!

Brian Roberts Wins Shafer!

(May 07, 2011 - Lake Shafer, IN)

A rainy Saturday morning brought about great competition between the top placers. Of the 14 anglers in attendance, Brian Roberts and Fred Coleman were the only anglers to weigh in five fish a piece; therefore the tough fought battle came down to weight.

Brian Roberts was the winning angler of the day. Not only did he take first place with the 5 fish he caught weighing in at 13.00 lbs. His kicker fish weighed 4.36 lbs which won him the Big Bass of the Day! Congratulations, Brian!  In a CLOSE second was Fred Coleman who also weighed in 5 fish, with a 3.94 kicker and a total weight of 11.85 lbs.  Third place went to Dave Coffing.  He weighed in 3 fish at 6.92 lbs. Fourth place went to Jess Funston. His three fish weighed in at 6.23 lbs.

Lake Shafer will again be the site of the next TVA tournament that will be held Saturday, May 21^st.  Hope to see you there!

(April 09, 2011 - Lake Shafer, IN)

The second tournament of the TVA season started off at Lake Shafer with a cold rain and thunderstorms.  Though as the morning passed, so did the weather as clear, sunny skies were present much of the afternoon. There were 14 anglers in attendance.

Brendan Fitzgerald was the PERSITENT angler of the day, taking first place and big bass. He caught 5 fish weighing in at 13.84 lbs. His kicker fish weighed in at 4.35 lbs. Congratulations, Brendan!  In second was Jeff Vandergraff weighing in 5 fish, with a 3.97 kicker and a total weight of 11.75 lbs.  Third place went to John Cullum.  He weighed in 5 fish at 11.08 lbs. Fourth place went to Fred Coleman. He weighed in 4 fish for total of 7.52 lbs.

Lake Shafer will AGAIN be the site of the next TVA tournament Saturday, May 7^th.  Hope to see you there!
